Worlds Day 1 cancelled!!

Anyone who was following the race today has probably heard that we had less than ideal weather for day 1 of the worlds. The wind picked up right before the K1W first runs. Initially they delayed the race for 15minutes hoping that the wind would die down, but the opposite happened. The wind started gusting and gates were flying. There was no way the athletes could compete fairly in this. All the women finished there runs frustrated with the conditions.
The Organizers then delayed the start of second runs another hour. When the time came it was still too windy and the race was cancelled. Today results are nullified and we will try again tomorrow.

My run was solid considering the situation. I was a little conservative leaving as much room as I could around the poles; but I was still dodging and ducking the flying gates. I was given 1 touch and finished in 21st place. There is definitely room for improvement; but overall I am happy with my performance and in a good mind set for tomorrows race.
